In December we sent four members to the European County Board meeting in Madrid: Brian representing the football part of the club, Conor the hurling, Adie the camogie and Trev went as the European committee hurling representative.
At the start of December, four representatives of Zuerich Innoein travelled to Madrid to the European County Board Meeting: Brian, Conor, Trev and Adie. Along with all the official business (contact John O'Brien for a copy of the minutes) there was a drinks reception at the Irish Ambassador's residence and a dinner at a local restaurant.
The major outcomes as regards our club were that there is to be further discussion over the structure of the hurling tournament, to try to encourage larger numbers of clubs to participate. Also there were changes to the structure of the football tournaments.
We'd also like to wish a successful year to the whole of County Europe and the new committee elected in Madrid.
